Ross-shire Journal
There is very poor coverage of the Highlands. The "Ross-shire" has been the voice of Ross-shire since the 1870s.
Dear Readers
We now have the Ross-shire Journal live on the website. We have 1,670 Issues available from 1878-1910 with small gaps.

Would really like to see the 1970s and 1980s of this newspaper added.

This is brilliant but can we get the WW1 era ones digitised too/ Would be a great help to researching the men.

The Rosshire Journal would be a great addition to the newspaper archive. There is not much coverage for this area of Scotland.

Would be good to start with the Ross-shire Advertiser, published in Dingwall (like the later Ross-shire Journals) between 1844 and 1849. British Library has copies.

This would be a valuable resource to all museums in the Highlands and aid in the ever increasing interest in genealogy. Brilliant idea. Tain Museum

Absolutely. I'd love to see the Ross-shire Journal digitised. One of the oldest newspapers in Scotland and some fantastic information contained within for such a broad area that is Ross-shire.
