Please increase coverage of newspapers for Birmingham
I have been advised that your coverage for Birmingham is up to 1871, and then from 1914-1918. I think this is such a shame - it would be brilliant if you could close the gap from 1872-1913, and then include more 20th century issues.
A friend of mine is trying to research her Brummie ancestor, who was a boxed in the 1920s, but we've tried searching for him and not found anything. And there's a legend in her family that her gt-grandfather fell down a chimney at a factory and was killed - it would be interesting (if not rather sad, of course) to be able to read about it in a contemporary local newspaper.
And you'll probably have people interested in what the Peaky Blinders got up to, as well!
Boughton (1985) PhD thesis referred to Town Crier (Birmingham) as valuable source. Good for WW1 & post-war research...
