The Shields Daily Gazette is included but that covers SOUTH Shields. You have nothing at all for NORTH Shields, a comparable town immediately across the River Tyne. What have you got against us North Shielders! We ask no more than to be treated equally!!

    My family has a long association with North Shields and it would be extremely helpful in researching the family history if the Shields Daily News was available as a digital resource.

    My fisherfolk family have a long history in North Shields, and I have had to rely on library hard copy archives to trace them and their activities. Please digitise Shields Daily News, which would be a valuable resource.
