We take on board all of your suggestions but are bound by copyright restrictions and our agreements with publishers, these form the boundaries of what we may publish online.

    which is already in the archive, so it would be wise to cover the period 1856-1883, which is a often sought after research paper for shipping enthousiasts, with the unique publications in it of the early rulings of the courts of inquery into shipping disasters

    Brighton Examiner please - 1860s. The British Library is the only library in the world holding this, and are currently 'unfit for use'. This is a crucial and valuable resource for Brighton history.

    As we have seen, Liverpool papers are not adequately represented. The Liverpool Courier was one of the main papers during the early 20th century. The Liverpool Daily Post from 1914 to 1930 would also be an important and useful addition.

  16. National Reformer

    The journal was established in Sheffield in 1860, as an initiative by the Sheffield Secularists,on a prospectus describing its policy as "Atheistic in theology, Republican in politics, and Malthusian in social economy". Charles Bradlaugh was co-editor and periodically edited the journal through to 1890. Leading booksellers refused to stock it.

    West Lancashire Evening Gazette, 1960-1979. A treasure trove of Blackpool entertainment stories and adverts. Also, if possible, the annual What's On magazines (Blackpool 71, Blackpool 72 etc) that were published each season by the Gazette.
