Newspapers we should add next
Tell us what publications would be of most use to you. You can be as general (Victorian cycling magazines) or specific (South Wales Argus) as you wish! Ross-shire Journal
There is very poor coverage of the Highlands. The "Ross-shire" has been the voice of Ross-shire since the 1870s.
105 votesDear Readers
We now have the Ross-shire Journal live on the website. We have 1,670 Issues available from 1878-1910 with small gaps.

Irish Newspapers prior to 1922.
As you probably know, the vast majority of the census returns, wills, parish records etc were destroyed in a fire in Dublin in 1922. This means that the only real source of finding information is through the newspapers. A searchable newspaper archive for the Irish newspapers prior to this date would be extremely useful

Aris's Birmingham Gazette pre 1840
There are Georgian newspapers which covered Birmingham pre 1837. Arris's Gazette readily springs to mind, but there were others. It would be great to read these online. Can you help, please given the amount of interest in Birmingham history?

British language newspapers from the British Empire
In the 19C, my family were spread around the Empire. They appear in newspapers from India: Allen's India Mail on books.google after a fashion; China: The North China Herald on BNA at www.findmypast; Japan: Japan Weekly Mail (snippet views ONLY on books.google); Kenya: The Kenya Gazette (ONLY on books.google); South Africa is particularly badly served in terms of bmd & a newspaper would be very useful.

Herts and Essex Observer
Please add the Herts & Essex Observer. Recently the WW1 volumes have become rather damaged, at least the locally kept copies. I fear that if nothing is done they will eventually become useless.
