How can we improve The British Newspaper Archive?

    Provide a forward/backward button when viewing a page so that you can skip to the same page in the next/previous day of the same publication

  3. Translate Welsh into English facility.

    A translation facility to translate Welsh language newspaper articles etc into English.

  4. A Timeline, simple base line of world/UK event dates occurring at, or near the atricle date

    Place the articles in some kind of timeline, a simple baseline graph idea would help I suppose. I don't have a plan but whenever I find an article concerning an ancestor it would help to picture the time he was living in - who was on the throne, world action concerning Britain etc.

  5. Future Publication Schedule

    How about posting a schedule of proposed releases of newspapers. I check the site most days for the areas of the country I am most interested in but a prior announcement of forthcoming newspapers would be useful.

    We have redeveloped the digitsation workflow software so that it can provide more granular detail on titles. Now we are investigating ways to send the data from the workflow to the website and make it presentable.
