Add a “Create Story Video” (Image-to-Video) feature for clippings to make sharing family history easier
Hi BNA team — one improvement that would massively increase the value of clippings for users is a built-in “Create Story Video” option.
Problem
When I find a meaningful clipping (family member, local event, obituary, etc.), I often want to share it with relatives or on social platforms. A static image/PDF is harder to consume, especially for older family members, and doesn’t tell a “story”.Suggestion
Please add a simple workflow like:Select a clipping (or multiple clippings)
Add a title + short caption (optional)
Auto-generate a short video with pan/zoom (Ken Burns style), readable captions, and source citation (paper…

Should Grindr add mini-games like Friday Night Funkin' to ease the tension?
Hi everyone,
While we are having heated debates about the ethnicity filter and app features, I was thinking: what if Grindr integrated some fun elements to keep the community engaged?
For example, a rhythm-based mini-game similar to Friday Night Funkin. Imagine having a "rap battle" feature or FNF-style stickers to break the ice with a match! Friday Night Funkin' has a huge, diverse community and its colorful aesthetic could really brighten up the UI while we wait for these major filter updates. What do you guys think? Should we bring some "funkin" vibes to Friday nights on Grindr?1 vote -

Slope Game: A Minimal Arcade World Built on Balance and Awareness
slope introduces players to an arcade environment where balance and awareness matter more than speed alone. The objective is simple—guide a rolling ball along a suspended path—but the challenge grows as the track evolves and momentum increases. Every section demands attention, turning small steering choices into meaningful outcomes.
What makes the game engaging is its reliance on consistency. The rules never change, yet the experience feels different with every run. Slopes angle unexpectedly, paths narrow, and drops appear with little margin for correction. Players quickly learn that smooth movement and early positioning are more effective than quick reactions. This design…

If you're looking for a platform where everything works smoothly and without surprises, this is it. The registration and verification process is straightforward, and the extensive game library, particularly the slots and live dealer sections, is truly impressive. I've been consistently pleased with the speed of withdrawals—they are always processed within the promised timeframe without any delays. All bonus terms are clearly stated upfront. For a detailed look at their offerings and terms, I suggest visiting https://betfox.org.uk/. The overall experience is streamlined and professional, making it my primary choice for online entertainment. It's a solid, trustworthy site that delivers…

Switch to previous and next issues when viewing search results in a newspaper issue
Usually I search for specific topics or events. Unfortunately, it is not yet possible to click on the previous or next issue, when you have opened a search result and navigating in one of the newspaper issues. The possibility to change to the previous or next issue would be very useful, as I often want to check whether there is anything about the topic in the previous or subsequent issue.

How to Search for Obituaries with Limited Information?
Hi everyone,
I'm hoping someone here might be able to offer some advice. I'm trying to locate an obituary for a distant relative who I believe passed away in the late 1950s or early 1960s, likely in the Manchester area. Unfortunately, I only have a rough estimate of the time period and a partial name — I know the surname (Thompson), and possibly the first initial (J or G).
I've tried some keyword combinations in the search bar, but I'm struggling to narrow it down without hundreds of unrelated results. Are there any tips or tricks for refining obituary searches…

Correcting transcription errors
If I copy out an article, I like to correct transcription errors so others benefit from the corrected version,
But your system if very frustrating, as fast as I can correct errors then more appear.
I usually just copy to my PC and edit there so no one else benefits from my work.
Comments are limited to 500 characters so I cannot even paste the corrected version there.

Make it easy to scroll through the pages of a newspapers
I use the site for historical research, and so I might want to look at a series of newspapers around a specific date to see what was happening. It would be great to be able to scroll through a newspaper;s pages (paticularly when viewing on iPad) rather than the 3-4 clicks needed to flick between pages. I'm thinking similar to a Kindle experience - eg one click or tap to skip a page

Web Site performance and OCR
Firstly I think you are doing a great thing with this archive; good job!
However my experience of trying to contribute to your project in a small way and correct the plethora of errors which your very basic OCR generates in the articles I am researching has been very frustrating. Reviewing and correcting a few thousand words is taking hours when it should take maybe only an hour if the performance of the website was quicker and if the user interface for editing had been better designed. In Microsoft Word or some similar software I can see all the errors…7 votes -
Voting for a publication instructions
My colleagues and myself have been struggling to vote for a newspaper to be recommended for digitisation. We are not computer illiterates but have found the voting process far from intuitive, particularly as you have to create a second password in order to vote. Do you have some clear instructions we could share with others who have been put off attempting to vote?
