Make it easier to download OR print just the article needed and not the whole page.
Make it easier to download just the article needed and not the whole page. See the NLA's TROVE site for example.
We are looking at ways of developing a way for you to select an area from within the image viewer and print or download just this section.

A snipped article when printed is not readable. Need to be able to read the snipped item --- unreadable articles for family historians is of NO VALUE.
Await improvement. -

I am sure I did snip and print just part of a page - now cannot do this. Please bring this back as it is a waste of ink printing the whole page and the print is then too small to read.

Who cares about downloading an article when you can't even figure out if you need it without downloading it. The print is way too tiny to read anything. You need to have some way to see the article before downloading.

I add my observation to others below - it is very tricky to print out an article in a size of font that is readable. HELP!

well it is very clevour that as it is saved as an adobe file I can crop move and do what I want with it but it will cost extra money to download the tool.

This is a horrible and not user- and researcher-friendly situation. The Australian TROVE system seems to have figured this printing dilemma out; why can't you?

I was very interested that not being able to select/print articles was a frustration shared by so many others. It does need to be sorted to make this website more than a curiosity

Seriously this is very frustrating! We pay good money and this should be a very simple thing to do! When is this going to be sorted????

I am so frustrated at not being able to print a single piece on a page. The American Newspapers website is extremely easy use in this way. Perhaps we could have a similar system -please!

Is there any progress on this I cannot print just the portion of the article I want. Dont need the whole page which is illegible when printed off. I find this site hard to use because of this and wont be renewing my yearly subscription because of the lack of solution.

Any progress on this? - it is enormously frustrating to be unable to get a decent print of the actual article you need.

When I took out my subscription this was easily achieved. Why have you altered things?

When will this happen ?

I often research Australian newspapers for my family history and they have the facility to print a small section of interest from the page not the whole page.
This is much easier to read and save for my family history project.
I hope the British Newspaper Archive is able to adopt this also.

To those who ask "What article" - it means any newspaper report/article that you find and of which you need to make a copy.

First of all, the suggestion (21 May) at the top was mine but I neglected to sign in first with my username "Cumnock". The added comments below were from another Anonymous.
