    Looking for information on The Marine Hotel which opened in 1897 ( foundation stone by Duke of Portland in 1894 ) Also the Centenary in 1997 if celebrated and related stories. This is for research on a book about 3 Scottish golfing towns and specific hotels. Any help much appreciated. I am visiting Troon ( my home town ) in early February and stayng at The Marine.
