    You have left! (?) (thinking…)
How important is this to you?

The Sports Gazette was the weekly sports supplement of the Gazette in Middlesbrough, I believe it started in 1890.

The British Library have copies from 1904 to 1937, and some stories and images for local sports teams can only be found within these pages. It would be an invaluable resource for sports historians with an interest in the North East to have these publications available as the information is quite simply available nowhere else.

It is possible that the earliest editions no longer exist, so it is very important to make sure the surviving publications are digitised so that they are preserved and made available for a wider audience.

It used to be called the North Eastern Daily Gazette, then the Daily Gazette for Middlesbrough. Obviously we all know it as the Evening Gazette, although it's just The Gazette now. All the same paper.
