Scarborough was a select resort in the 19th century which attracted both a political and cultural elite. Nationally important architects worked there (e.g. G.F. Bodley) as well as artists from the Pre-Raphaelites to Atkinson Grimshaw. It became the summer resort of politicians and industrialists. As such, the two papers mentioned record much of political and cultural interest as well as presenting a picture of the upper and middle class at play. I concur that they should be included in the digital collection.
