Can anyone recall a young army volunteer (Private, Auxiliary Territorial Service) by the name of Katherine Parkhill Carr.
She joined the service immediately at the outbreak of the war in 1939, sadly by the age of 21 she was lost her life at Cheadle.
I have been researching her life as she is buried in the cemetery here in Bures.
Her brother now into his 80`s, recalls her coffin arriving back in the village draped in the Union Jack.
Would be very pleased from anyone assist me and to pass the information on to her brother who is desperate to know the circumstances of her death The Sentinel
Possibly featured these events in the 1950s
