    I came across the website by accident. Since moving into the area 2 years ago I always wordered why the landscape below Oaklands Road appeared the way it does. I've been told that Oakland Primary school once stood opposite Unity Quarter and the new estate is being built on the site of Kersal High School: that's all I knew, but thanks to you guys I now knew alot more about the area.. The stories I've read and pictures I've seen are fascinating and extremely interesting. Shame on Salford Council to have allowed the area to be left unkept like they have with so much history.
