    You have left! (?) (thinking…)
How important is this to you?

I am a former resident of Stoke on Trent, born in Chesterton Jan. 1954 living and growing up in Talke Pits until my late folks migrated to Aus. in 1968.
I have many fond memories of growing up there and then moving to Aus.

Even now aged 49 I still call that home, and Aus is the place I choose to live having two children born here.

I went to school at St Saviours primary school, and Sir David Mitchel school in Buttlane, then Clough Hall Comprehensive until moving to Aus in 1968.

Although life was not a bed of roses I have many fond memories of growing up, probably because life back then was at a more leisurely pace in comparison to the hectic lifestyle today. I remember as if it were yesterday the family home in Audley Road Talke Pits, and walking the five miles to the bus stop to catch the bus to school. The winters where it was fine in the morning leaving for school, and then the snow starting after lunch, and having to walk home because the bus was un! able to go up coal pit hill because of the snow on the road, and the great delight the next morning of being snowed in bcause the snow was up to the second storey window, of digging out the snow bound cars, and walking attop the drifted snow.

Something rarely seen hear in Aus. And all the memories of the times at school in year 3M back in 1968 while going to Clough Hall Comprehensive . Anyone still out there that went to Clough Hall in that year ?
