   My grandmother was Sarah Whittiker born in Belpar 3-26- 1911. married Samuel Mellor who was born in Belpar in 1911. They came to America about 1950. This is as far back as I have been able to find. Would love to know more. Grateful for any info.

   Hi to all the great people I knew and met during the mid seventies when I lived and worked in Crewe.

   I was employed at The Crown Hotel before it was closed following the fire in 1974 - so I transfered to The Bell and was Manager there for the lovely Pearl and Harry Stratton.I continued working there until after their retirement when William Dreyer took on the hotel.

   Very fond memories of many customers and locals.
