I am searching for the ancestors of Thomas Gibbons, born circa 1913 and transported to Van Diemans Land in 1976.He was a blacksmith by trade. His convict indent states he was a native of Wolverhampton whilst his headstone states native of Staffordshire. Also on the headstone are the place names Woodgreen and Westbury. These somehow appear to go back to his English origins but I have never been able to ascertain their significance. Can anyone help?

    Shop keeper Friday St.
Tracing George Henry Beck from Loughborough 1850. Wife Emma (Harrison) having 7 children, including my great grandfather William George Beck who died in battle, France during the first World War. He moved to Leicester and marriade Beatrice Howe, certificate shows them living ar Dorset St. Sept. 1900. Though, 1901 census shows them living with the mother-in-law on Friday Street, Anne Howe, formally Mappin, shopkeeper grocers working at home, which suggests to me that the family turned the front room into a shop? Any one help? I would be interested to hear from anyone who can help with any information, I am at present interested in the shop. How do I find information about it? Part of the family moved to Australia during the 1970's and are still residing there.
