Can anybody give me any information about my father, Stanley Robert Gillis, who worked at Briggs' during WW2 ? He continued to work at the plant, (then Ford's) after the war, until he retired about 1974. He was a welder in Jigs and Fixtures Dept for more than 20 years, and was known always as 'Bob'. He died in 2002 aged 91

My wife is a descendant of the SMITH family of Fenton, Staffs. I've just started looking at them and have gone back to a Jesse SMITH born c.1965 in Fenton. He married Ann \\ and had at least 11 children thereafter, all in Fenton. I would be really interested in hearing from anyone with any SMITH links to Fenton.
