I lived at 8 Coronation Terrace , Deaf Hill and when I left school I worked for Billy Walton the builder. I went to Deaf Hill Primary School and the Foundry School before we were all moved to the Village School. My mother was known by most people in Deaf Hill as Eileen Carter, my Brother was Frank Carter who went to A.J.Dawson’s Grammar School at Wingate and he is now retired and lives in Harrogate. Sadly my Mother died on June 2nd 2009. I would like to know if there is anyone who can put me in touch with Marjory HARE who lived next door to us at 9, Coronation Terrace

Raised in Derby on St. Albans Road from 1961 until 1981 when I left for Los Angeles in the U.S. Even after 32 years away there are times when I yearn for the "good old days"...I always visit my old "stomping grounds" when i come back to visit family. Thanks for the great site
