I used to play saxophone at the Ritz and the Rialto ballrooms in 1954.There was a young lsdy whose maiden name was Hand. given name Gwendoline.I have often wondered over the years what became of her.I have lived in Canada for 58 years but have many happy memories of the old days.

I used to live in Hart View, Trimdon Village and we used to have Boyne Farm next to Tremaduna Rest Home. I have 2 Aunt’s still live in the Village and 1 lives at the Grange. Older brother Bob lives at the Grange and worked at The TMS as a fitter until it closed. I left Trimdon in 93′ moving to York, worked at John Smith’s Brewery Tadcaster before re-locating to Edinburgh in 2001. Last in the Village club at my niece’s 18th birthday party daughter of my brother John who now lives in Aycliffe. Would be interested in hearing from anyone who remembers me, names come to mind Alan Athey, Jeff Britton, David Stewart, Derek Robinson, Steven Henney. would be great to hear how we have all faired now we’ve past the magic age of fifty, drop me an email. all the best
