I'm looking to find any information on behalf of my mother, Jenny Sturgess who lived in Garston, went to Francis Coombe school and was the cousin of the Tickner family.
Her parents were Michael (Mick) and Yvonne Sturgess (nee Perry) and they lived on Harris Road in Garston at the time of her birth in 1966 until shortly after her dad's death in 1973.

Michael worked for Shell Mex and BP based in Hemel and died in January 1973 driving his petrol tanker for Shell in Ealing we believe.

Michael lived in Devon Road Watford and there may be links to Derby Road.

Yvonne had family that lived on Gladstone Road, again, surname Perry (Albert and Dorothy; Albert may have worked for Benskins Brewery). Yvonne then moved to Poole, Dorset and died there also.

I was born at no. 2a Elizabeth Cottage in Hoe Lane in 1949.Left there about 1953, but have no photos of the cottage.I know it was demolished around the mid 60's, and replaced by flats. My sister who was born there in 1946 remembers Robo's shop on the opposite corner.Would love to see a photo of my birthplace, if anyone can help please. The cottage was rented, and the family who owned the property were the Hales. My maiden name is Hill.My dad worked at Harry Stone's grocers shop. His name was John Hill and my mum was Florence. My sister is Irene.

I was born during the war at 55 Allestree Road Fulham and moved within months to Garvan Road. I went to Everington Street Infants School in the early 50s and remember getting Ice Cream from Santilly,s Yard. I lived in Fulham until I got married in 1965. I had four brothers and one sister and numerous uncles and aunties all over Fulham, as my mum and dad were born there. I live in Kent now but always think of Fulham as my true home
