London Daily Chronicle
Although the London Daily Chronicle was one of the most influential and highest-circulation newspapers of the late 19th century, it has so far only been digitised in its early phase until 1870. However, under the direction of the well-known journalist and editor Henry Massingham, it became a leading voice in liberal politics. It is essential to continue the digitalization of this newspaper to investigate the political controversies of imperial politics.

Oadby and Wigston local titles
Oadby and Wigston are two thriving areas to the south of Leicester. They enjoyed a number of titles over the years though all are now gone. The local record office has retained physical copies (list attached) but it would be exponentially more useful if digital versions were available. The papers covered local events, returning emigrants etc and are likely to be popular with family historians.
