Tell us what publications would be of most use to you. You can be as general (Victorian cycling magazines) or specific (South Wales Argus) as you wish! We take on board all of your suggestions but are bound by copyright restrictions and our agreements with publishers, these form the boundaries of what we may publish online.

  4. Do you have any plans to complete the run of the Shrewsbury Chronicle? We really need the gaps filling

    Do you have any plans to complete the run of the Shrewsbury Chronicle? It is a great advantage to us for the work we are doing to VCH Shropshire/Shrewsbury to have some of it online, but the gaps are very difficult and we would really welcome an accelerated programme to close them.

  11. Gateshead Post

    The Gateshead Post was launched in 1946 and ended in 2003 being bought up by Thomson Regional Newspapers. The paper is a fabulous source of local news that rarely hit the other mainstream newspapers such as the Evening Chronicle or Newcastle Journal. In addition, it made substantial use of photographs of local events and people.

    Have many families from these villages and would be very nice to find more info other than just names take from the free bmd indexes for Britain meaning who they are and what they did from 1700 to present day
