Newspapers we should add next

Tell us what publications would be of most use to you. You can be as general (Victorian cycling magazines) or specific (South Wales Argus) as you wish! We take on board all of your suggestions but are bound by copyright restrictions and our agreements with publishers, these form the boundaries of what we may publish online.

  2. Forest of Dean Newspapers

Now published as "The Forester" covering the whole of the Forest of Dean (Gloucestershire), but previously individual papers for each of the Forest / Severnside towns (Lydney, Coleford and Cinderford).

    Lydney Observer
    Dean Forest Guardian
    Cinderford Journal
    Dean Forest Mercury
    Forest of Dean Herald

At the moment, whilst researching the Forest of Dean on the BNA, we have to hope that stories were covered by papers in South Wales or Gloucester.

  5. Altrincham, Bowdon and Hale Guardian

At Trafford Local Studies and Archives, we hold this newspaper on microfilm from 1904 until 1969. It is our best used newspaper and is full of detail about the local area.

  10. Britannia and Eve 1930

There is a one year gap in your collection of this publication. Is this an oversight or do the publishers not have it?

  12. lanarkshire

Please continue coverage of the Hamilton Herald & Lanarkshire Weekly News from 1910 to 1930 under its later title 'LANARKSHIRE' during that time. You have the full print run and they are not held in any Lanarkshire or Glasgow Libraries. We have few sources for that period. Thank you.

  15. The Weekly News

A British national newspaper founded in 1855 and published every Wednesday up until 2020. I’m looking for something which was submitted to the paper by my mother (Kathryn Hellewell) between 1978 - 1981. Some sort of comedy article based on a real life event involving the delivery of a carpet to a block of flats (similar to a Laurel and Hardy sketch) possibly entitled another fine mess. I’d like to find it for my Grandma to help jog her memory.... However I think adding all editions (if possible) would be a great addition to the BNA

  19. The Daily Gleaner (Jamaica)

I have been a regular researcher on this site since it was first launched. It would be lovely to see some more Jamaican Newspapers added, I’m sure they would be beneficial to many people who had Colonial ancestors who lived there. I see you are adding Colonial India Newspapers, but so far only have one Jamaican Newspaper. The Daily Gleaner would be an excellent addition to your brilliant archives.

  20. Hamilton advertiser

This paper is an excellent resource, but the earlier and later years are really needed on this site. The 1850s are missing, and coverage should extend to at least 1945
