Christmas Numbers of The Sketch
For some reason it seems that the scans of The Sketch did not include the special Christmas issues. I was looking in particular for the ones from 1903 and 1904. It would be nice to see those added! Perhaps Christmas Numbers for other papers were also missed?

Morning Leader
In the years before the First World War there was a thriving Liberal press, with the Daily Chronicle, the Daily News and the Morning Leader. The beginnings of the popular press can be traced back to the Morning Leader, which first hit the streets in 1892 as a 1/2d paper. It merged with the Daily News (which you already have) in 1912.

Enniscorthy Echo
Hi there
This newspaper and also the Wexford Echo is now defunct having been in circulation since 1902 until 2013. It was in circulation in Wexford, Ireland and is on microfilm at Wexford town Library, Co. Wexford. I would hope that since it is now defunct that it should be easy to obtain copies. It would be great as I know you already have the New Ross Standard, Wexford but that really only covers the New Ross area of Wexford. Hopefully you can look favorably on this suggestion.

The Tunbridge Wells Advertiser
The Tunbridge Wells Advertiser is one of the key local newspapers that is still relevant today as it gave rise to the phrase 'Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells' - many of the letters to the editor were signed 'DISGUSTED'. Strangely, the paper was digitally available in 2013 whereas it no longer is today. Instead, there are a lot of local papers from the area that are available on this database but that have no such pedigree. I am sure many former letter writers are spinning in their grave wishing they could still reach for their pen and vent their outrage. They…

Or the Hornsey Journal sad to see we have little in the way of later years which is every bit as important as our earlier years. Large enough diverse area to warrant being included more !!!

Derbyshire Times
I saw your reply re the move of paper copies from Colindale. Why do you not get the microfiche from Derbyshire Records Office for the missing years? It is really frustrating that so many years are missing.

The Highlander (1873-1882)
The Highlander, published in Inverness between 1873 and 1881, is said to have focused on land reform and the Gaelic language, but it is also likely to have featured socialist ideas as the editor was "one of the founders of the Scottish Labour Party". As such it is likely to be of interest not just to Gaelic Scholars and Celticists but also to historians interested in socialism and the experience of the working class, be they from Scotland or other parts of the UK, or scholars more generally researching politics during the 1870s and early 1880s. The Highlander was also…
