We need these Archives in our life for the future

This site is fantastic. I understand it's not a quick process but it's been nearly four years since this request was originally posted, and as yet, no update as to when, if ever Black Country newspapers will be added. These titles will be very handy personally speaking

Been waiting 4 years-what a joke!

I discontinued BNA sub long ago. I asked for Black Country coverage - NOTHING! They would much rather concentrate on Highlands and Islands Fishing Gazette - or whatever!

Yup, still waiting here too, despite suggesting that action is taken to fill the void a couple of years ago. As a regular subscriber, this lack of activity is disappointing.

Have just renewed subscription, but still no Black Country, except a couple of years.When will something happen?

This is why I have not renewed - too much empahsis on other areas . Adding in the future means nothjing - 3 months - 6 months - year ttwo years ???? When!?

How long do we have to wait for Black Country newspapers-my subscription is becoming a waste of time.

Why are the Dudley Herald and other Black Country papers still not included?

Cn we please have more Black Country Papers - I have exhausted all others in my search for my notorious ancestors. They were Baclk Country Irish and span the whole of the 19th C - otherwise subscription is becoming redundant

Good news about Dudley Herald, but this area is sorely lacking and needs more titles to be anywhere near representative! Please can we have more, including:

A) The Weekly News (West Bromwich, Oldbury, Smethwick, etc.);
B) The Free Press;
C) The Smethwick Telephone;
D) West Bromwich & Oldbury Chronicle...

Sandwell Archives have many newspapers on microfilm - would be a good first port of call.

Any idea as to timescale? And County Express next, please.

That's a start, but more needs to be done to cover this region .

The other side of Birmingham and Coventry is not well covered - how about the Rugby Advertiser.

Black Country is left out again, more please.

Various microfilm "collections" exist of local papers at the Sandwell Archives, Dudley Archive and also at the Wolverhampton Archives. Sandwell is the best starting point and very helpful.

Please don't forget the County Express either - Stourbridge, Brierley Hill, Dudley !

The Black Country area of Worcestershire and Staffordshire is sadly lacking. Express & Star would also cover this area.
