Hi, A quick update – we have added the Dudley Herald to our Digitisation Plan for future digitisation!
Thanks for your votes. There’s obviously a gap in the West Midlands / Black Country – we’ll start seeing what we can do about it!

We have redeveloped the digitsation workflow software so that it can provide more granular detail on titles. Now we are investigating ways to send the data from the workflow to the website and make it presentable.

Like the first "poster" I check most days/weeks to see if the area I am interested in (The Black Country) is covered and then what date ranges are available. A schedule of what is coming on stream could allow researchers to plan their work and visits to "hard copy sources" better.
Various microfilm "collections" exist of local papers at the Sandwell Archives, Dudley Archive and also at the Wolverhampton Archives. Sandwell is the best starting point and very helpful.
