    Hi, A quick update – we have added the Dudley Herald to our Digitisation Plan for future digitisation!

    Thanks for your votes. There’s obviously a gap in the West Midlands / Black Country – we’ll start seeing what we can do about it!

    Good news about Dudley Herald, but this area is sorely lacking and needs more titles to be anywhere near representative! Please can we have more, including:

    A) The Weekly News (West Bromwich, Oldbury, Smethwick, etc.);
    B) The Free Press;
    C) The Smethwick Telephone;
    D) West Bromwich & Oldbury Chronicle...

    Sandwell Archives have many newspapers on microfilm - would be a good first port of call.

    Great suggestion. This title really is a goldmine. I believe it’s all on microfilm at the BL.

    E.g. The Midland Chronicle, The Weekly News for West Brom, The Smethwick Telephone, The Free Press, etc. There's currently a bit of a gap.
