    I would love to see the athletic news 1895 to 1898 and 1908. these date compliment the dates you already have for researching the early days of the northern union 1895 is when the great breakaway happened one of the most momentous and reported events in British sporting history. the first Australian tourists, the 'kangaroos' visited in 1908 another missing year but oh so important

    Progress is very slow on this they are all on microfilm so can't see the problem really

    The Athletic News has been a very useful addition, but nothing has been added for a few months now. When will more years (1877-79 and after 1887) be coming on line?

    This was also requested a year ago. Ended up with hundred of votes. BNA did nothing. Probably do not have the rights to add it. Pity.

    Covers all manner of sports and the comments of individual writers give a feel for issues of the day. Invaluable for rugby's great split of 1895 and the spread of football.
