I’ve spent a lot of time on The British Newspaper Archive for my research, and one thing that slows me down is navigating within a single newspaper issue. Currently to view consecutive pages I often need 3–4 clicks per page, which interrupts the flow, especially when reviewing a full edition or browsing around a specific date. It would be much more user-friendly if the viewer allowed simple continuous scrolling or a one-tap page advance, similar to an e-reader experience, making free online games quicker and less clunky to move through the content.
