The Letchworth and Baldock Citizen
Due to the recent highly successful and widely publicised 'Herts at War' exhibition hosted in Letchworth Garden City, there has been a lot of interest in WW1 related activity in the area. Hosting The Letchworth and Baldock Citizen would mean stories connected to WW1 would be accessible to the Letchworth community.
The early late 19c and early 20c was also the period in which Letchworth - the worlds FIRST garden city was created by the pioneer of town planning Ebeneezer Howard, This work and learnings has spread internationally ever since. Howard's and Letchworth's influence is still felt today by town…

Hampshire Chronicle
Very frustrating that the pages for the Hants Chronicle end at 1830. To be of full use the pages from 1831-1918 would be a great addition.

Did the many different newspapers published in the Lowestoft/Yarmouth area around 1900 lead to a more varied news coverage?
The Yarmouth/Lowestoft area on the Norfolk/Suffolk border had a remarkable numbers of newspapers covering the same area at the end of the 19th Century. It would be interesting to see if that led to a diversity in the news coverage, for instance of the great gale that swept Great Britain and the North Sea at the end of november 1893. I therefor suggest that you scan the 1893 volume of the following newspapers:
Lowestoft Weekly Press and Beccles, Halesworth and Southwold Advertiser
Lowestoft News and Observer and Eastern Times
Lowestoft Standard and East Suffolk Conservative Courier
Lowestoft Journal and Yarmouth…21 votes -
Blairgowrie Advertiser
People's Journal, Perthshire Edition 1914-1920...please!

Evening Chronicle
Paper for Newcastle from 1885 onwards
18 votesHi, Thank you for your suggestion. The good news is (pun intended!) that we are actively digitising this title at the moment. You will see that 1915 is already available on the site here: http://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/search/results/1910-01-01/1919-12-31?sortorder=dayearly&newspapertitle=newcastle%20evening%20chronicle

Clydebank Press
There are no papers from Dumbartonshire specifically Clydebank and Dumbarton. Given the history and significance to the Scottish economy they need to be scanned!

News of the World
Some may laugh but the NoW is an invaluable source of extra information regarding court cases in particular, providing colour and additional background information on the protagonists. Don't underestimate its value to the historian/researcher - whether amateur or professional. If you don't believe me then compare and contrast a Times report with the same case in the NoW.
I'm especially keen for access to the archive from the early half of the 20th century.

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let you into some good news – Faversham Times and Mercury and North-East Kent Journal fits our inclusion criteria. We have researched the BL catalogue and it is available to us for digitisation. We have added the following years to our Digitisation Plan: 1939-1950Please be aware that until we have received the material into our studio and checked it, it is not possible to guarantee that it will be digitised.
Best wishes,
Team BNA
