This newspaper closed last year after around 150 years. It is a great example of a small local paper. Go on, go for one of the smaller titles for a change!!

Catholic Newspapers printed in Britain
In the late 19th & early 20th centuries, there were over 30 Catholic newspapers published in Britain, mainly for the Irish Catholic community living in Britain, eg Irish Tribune, Preston Catholic News, Glasgow Observer & Catholic Herald, Tyneside Catholic News, Catholic Times & Catholic Opinion, etc. Few copies of these titles have survived beyond The British Library's collection.

Beverley Guardian
Beverley Guardian/Advertiser would be terrific as it covered lots of news for the East Riding of Yorkshire areas that wasn't always covered in other papers such as the Hull Daily Mail
63 votesGood news – The Beverley Guardian fits our inclusion criteria! We have researched the BL catalogue and it is available to us for digitisation. This title is only available to scan from the original paper (i.e. has not been previously microfilmed). Due to the British library’s move of the physical paper archive from Colindale to the custom built storage unit in Boston Spa, the paper is under embargo and we cannot digitise from paper until the new year. However, the good news is that we have the following years on our Digitisation Plan: 1856-1871.
Please be aware that until we have received the material into our studio and checked it, it is not possible to guarantee that it will be digitised.

norfolk/suffolk local papers, especially from Lowestoft.
Henrik Ibsen's unknown grandson was rescued by Lowestoft fishermen during the great gale of november 1893. Actually it would be a great idea to add issues of all british newspapers from about 18th to 25th of november 1893 to uncover all ov the drama this gale cost. Hundreds of lives were lost, and lots of heroism unfolded.

Nottingham Review
This is an important regional newspaper in the period 1811-1817, the period of the Luddite uprisings, and it's inclusion on this website before the bicentenary ends is vital! It's proprietor, Charles Sutton, was convicted of libelling the Crown in 1816 & jailed.

Kentish Gazette
You advertise the Kentish Gazette from 1750-1899 but you can't get the years 1777-1799. They do exist as I have seen them on microfilm. This gap is very frustrating and for completeness it would be great if they could be digitised.
