An error occurred while saving the comment Anonymous commentedThese people at Ancestry.com (IMO) do not refine their search engine on purpose, so as to increase / maintain revenue. It really isn't good. What your asking for should be easy. However I must say OCR records are decidedly flaky... Over the years they have progressively restricted (on their flagship website) search results; example census information on a street has gone, and now only the household available...

These people at Ancestry.com (IMO) do not refine their search engine on purpose, so as to increase / maintain revenue. It really isn't good. Google understands misspellings and takes them into account. This one probably doesn't make an attempt! It doesn't learn as it goes. There are limits of course, but even so. Even when the spellings are matched you very often find your result is well down on the list of returns. Sign of a poor search engine. These are only databases at the end of the day!
