Newspapers we should add next
Tell us what publications would be of most use to you. You can be as general (Victorian cycling magazines) or specific (South Wales Argus) as you wish! We take on board all of your suggestions but are bound by copyright restrictions and our agreements with publishers, these form the boundaries of what we may publish online.

Inverness Courier
The Inverness Courier from 1817 onwards is on microfilm at Inverness Library. The BNA holds digitised copies up to 1909. It would be great to see this more comprehensively digitised as it is the principal newspaper for the Highlands. My interest is in family history - there are many people all over the world who have their roots in the Highlands of Scotland. Newspapers are a fantastic resource for family historians and it would be amazing to see more editions of this newspaper on the BNA for us all to enjoy!

Civil Service Gazette
This journal is a mine of information for those with research interests involving Victorian civil servants. Published from 1853 to 1926 it includes lists of vacancies and promotions and , more unusually, reflects views and opinions within the ranks of the civil service. Do you have any plans to complete the run of the Shrewsbury Chronicle? It is a great advantage to us for the work we are doing to VCH Shropshire/Shrewsbury to have some of it online, but the gaps are very difficult and we would really welcome an accelerated programme to close them.

West Lothian Courier
Currently there are no newspapers on the archive from this area of Scotland. There has been a lot of people moving from one county to a neighbouring county over the years and it woud help greatly with my research if this missing area was added.
