We take on board all of your suggestions but are bound by copyright restrictions and our agreements with publishers, these form the boundaries of what we may publish online.

    Currently there are no newspapers on the archive from this area of Scotland. There has been a lot of people moving from one county to a neighbouring county over the years and it woud help greatly with my research if this missing area was added.

    The first newspaper to be published in Wales. This is well indexed bt the Swansea Archives and held on micro fich there. It would be great to get it digitised.

  14. More newspapers from the 20th century please

    Can we have more papers from the 20th century please? During August, you did about 7 titles/years for the 18th century, 49 for the 20th and a whopping 450 for the 19th century. Your coverage is a bit skewed!

    It would be good to have some more of the suburban/local newspapers from Merseyside, such as the West Derby Reporter, the Bottle Times, the Wallasey News, the Bebington News, Walton Times and North Liverpool Times, etc...

  19. Did the many different newspapers published in the Lowestoft/Yarmouth area around 1900 lead to a more varied news coverage?

    The Yarmouth/Lowestoft area on the Norfolk/Suffolk border had a remarkable numbers of newspapers covering the same area at the end of the 19th Century. It would be interesting to see if that led to a diversity in the news coverage, for instance of the great gale that swept Great Britain and the North Sea at the end of november 1893. I therefor suggest that you scan the 1893 volume of the following newspapers:
    Lowestoft Weekly Press and Beccles, Halesworth and Southwold Advertiser
    Lowestoft News and Observer and Eastern Times
    Lowestoft Standard and East Suffolk Conservative Courier
    Lowestoft Journal and Yarmouth…
