An error occurred while saving the comment Robert Hodges commentedThe Shrewsbury Chronicle is one of the oldest newspapers in the country and is still going strong (since the 1770s) and is the title thaty best covers the county historically speaking. We need a full run! Shropshire was the birthplace of the industrial revolution and the activity of the county is of vital importance to historians of Georgian and Victorian periods.
There are no sporting titles (apart from parts of Bell's Life in London and The Era) in the first half of the 19th century in your list, which seems odd. I know for certain that around 1840 there was 'The Sporting Review', 'New Sporting magazine' and 'The Sportsman'. Also around 1900-1910 Land & Water' another sports journal is missing. Please do what you can. Thank you.
