When doing a search, show next to each article found whether it has already been viewed, like FindMyPast does, so any newly added articles can easily be identified.

Bookmarks are placed in Folders, but you can't go to a particular folder and search
You can place bookmarks into 'Folders', but you can't actually search these folders individually. A page showcasing your various folders would be handy.

Obituaries
Despite entering someone's name, the requested info does not appear even though it should. Could there not be a possibility of showing deaths/marriages as a collection?

Improve the search terms so that exact search mean exact search
I fail to understand the utter hopelessness of the Exact Search function. A small example - I search for Alfred King, and get any number of King Alfreds. Incredibly irritating and makes the site pointless. And surely easily remedied.

Bring back the old views!
This computer generated text is rubbish. Please bring back access to the whole page of print that highlights the key words searched for. The only way I can now read the original page is to press the print button but then there is no highlighting. As a researcher I am deeply frustrated that you have made this change,

Allow advanced search by county
In the simple search I can select from a dropdown box to search by county, which is very useful. However, advanced search only allows a search by publication place, which is often not as useful. For example, I want to use advanced search and limit it to Northamptonshire, but this appears to be impossible.

Better searches
How is it I can find an article with an exact phrase e.g. John Smith of Kendal yet when I type this exact phrase in the exact order in the search box the article with this exact phrase isn't the first article or infact any of the articles on the search results? Useless, I know theres a alot of articles of interst but the search engine isnt good enough to let me find them, this is frustrating!!

Ability to delete a summary from Search History.
Often a search proves fruitless or (as often in my case) I misspell a key word, yet the search remains in Search History. These searches need to be deleted before my Search History becomes unmanageable.

Go directly to a particular page in a saved search
My actress ancestor has 75 pages of results , but when I go back to the saved search, I can't go straight to where I left off before (say page 54). I have to go to page 10, then 20,and so on,up to 50, then forward 4 singly, waiting ages for each page of results to load.(Tedious).We should be able to go directly to a specific page.

Get alerts - Individual paper updates
I would like the ability to 'subscribe' to select papers. What this means is that I will be notified by email or message if my selected papers are updated with new issues, and notified which editions have been added. It would save logging in daily to see if the papers we are interested in have been updated and then trying to work out which issues.

An exact search should be just that. Don't revert all capitals to lower case.
When searching for a person's name,e.g. David T Fulton, the name as a whole should be searched for. The name in the search box should remain capitalised as entered.

I frequently wish to search for a particular address, such as 114a
I frequently wish to search for a particular address, such as "114A East Street". Even when doing an advanced search for that particular string of characters, I am offered thousands of false hits that may contain the word "a". Is there a way I can tell the search engine I really, really mean that particular string of characters ONLY. Clicking the "Exact search" box does nothing to help.

Filter by more than one region
Filter results by more than one region. Events in the Southeast are likely to be in Southeast or London Papers

Remember my 'Sort results by' choice
I would like 'Sort results by' to be 'sticky'. I nearly always select 'Date (earliest)' but have to keep resetting after it goes back to 'Relevance'
Why is this text entry box only postage stamp size?
